Xining plans to invest 120 million yuan to build a fifth sewage treatment plant. The project is located in the planned new site of Shuangsubao Village on the east bank of Beichuan River in Xining City, with a total construction area of 4838 square meters. The design sewage treatment capacity is 30,000 tons per day in the near term (2015) and 45,000 tons per day in the long term (2020). Currently, the preliminary design of the project has passed the review.
