Wenzhou City Drainage Management Measures Passed
The "Wenzhou City Urban Drainage Management Measures (Trial Implementation)" has been reviewed and passed. The Measures propose that urban drainage facilities should be uniformly planned, constructed, managed, and used on a paid basis, following the principle of "one city, one network, one entity." As the sole entity, the Wenzhou Public Utilities Investment Group Co., Ltd.'s Wenzhou Drainage Co., Ltd. is responsible for the operation or entrusted operation of urban public drainage facilities in the urban area. New and renovated urban drainage facilities must implement separate drainage of sewage and rainwater. In areas where separate drainage has already been implemented, it is prohibited to connect rainwater pipes and sewage pipes together for combined drainage, or to directly connect sewage pipes to rivers. Existing combined sewer systems will be gradually transformed into separate sewer systems through comprehensive improvement and interception and drainage measures, according to the drainage special plan.
