Xining plans to invest 120 million yuan to build a sewage treatment plant
Xining plans to invest 120 million yuan to build a fifth sewage treatment plant. The project is located in the planned new site of Shuangsubao Village on the east bank of Beichuan River in Xining City, with a total construction area of 4838 square meters. The design sewage treatment capacity is 30,000 tons per day in the near term (2015) and 45,000 tons per day in the long term (2020). Currently, the preliminary design of the project has passed the review.
A pollution control plan for the Fuxi River section in Zigong, Sichuan has been released.
The Fuxi River Basin is severely polluted and is a small watershed that the Sichuan Provincial Government has prioritized for remediation. On December 12, reporters learned from the Sichuan Provincial Environmental Protection Department that the "Fuxi River Basin (Zigong) Water Pollution Comprehensive Governance Implementation Plan (2012-2014)" was recently issued. It will adopt various measures to improve the water quality of the Fuxi River, including improving sewage treatment facilities, industrial pollution control, and agricultural non-point source pollution control, and strictly limiting the entry of high water-consuming industries. The Fuxi River Basin will comprehensively manage waste from medical, catering, accommodation, health, beauty, and farm stay businesses along the river, and strengthen riverbank garbage cleanup and the removal of floating objects on the river surface. By the end of 2013, the
The country invested 230 million to manage six rivers in Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province.
On December 12, it was learned from the Haikou Municipal Government that according to the notice from the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Finance on carrying out pilot planning for the comprehensive improvement of key counties in the governance of small and medium-sized rivers, Haikou Meilan District has been identified by the Ministry of Water Resources as a key area for the governance of small and medium-sized rivers nationwide. Six rivers in Meilan District (Nanyang River, Yanzhou River, Luoya River, Yanfeng East River, Yanfeng West River, and Furong River) will be improved as pilot projects for the comprehensive improvement of key counties in the governance of small and medium-sized rivers. According to reports, the project is planned to be implemented over three years from 2013 to 2015, with a total investment of approximately 230 million yuan. Currently, Haikou is implementing the key county governance of small and medium-sized rivers in Meilan District.
Nanoballs can help wastewater undergo deep detoxification
On December 7, 2012, news reported on a tiny sphere, about the size of a grain of sand. Its interior is ingeniously structured into a series of small compartments, meticulously arranged with extremely fine nanomaterials. When countless such spheres are gathered in a filtration device, toxic and harmful substances in domestic and industrial wastewater are instantly adsorbed and separated. The water purification results far exceed current national standards. 36-year-old Pan Bingcai, director of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Nanjing University, and his team have developed a world-leading environmental nanotechnology control and wastewater advanced treatment technology. He was selected as one of Jiangsu Province's Top Ten Young Scientists and Technologists this year.
Methods for treating copper ions in industrial wastewater
Copper plating is often used as an underlayer for nickel, tin, chromium, silver, and gold plating to improve the bonding strength between the substrate metal and the surface plating and the corrosion resistance of the plating. Therefore, copper-containing electroplating wastewater is very common in the electroplating industry, and this type of wastewater usually contains various heavy metals and complexing agents. Currently, the treatment of copper-containing electroplating wastewater mainly uses chemical methods, ion exchange methods, membrane separation methods, adsorption methods, and biological methods. 1 Chemical methods for treating copper-containing electroplating wastewater 1) Neutralization precipitation method Currently, chemical neutralization and coagulation precipitation methods are commonly used in China to treat copper-containing comprehensive electroplating wastewater. The neutralization of acids and alkalis in the wastewater is
